In Conclusion
Platinum is not often used for the setting of these stones, more commonly that of yellow and white, 9ct and especially 18ct gold. The most often seen these days being that of white gold variations.
Because of the relative softer nature when comparing these stones to other gemstones, they do require a little more care than others. Take them off and protect them from scratches if doing more arduous work. They will obviously need periodically cleaning using mild soapy and warm water, with a soft toothbrush, but never wear them, or clean them in hot water or steam. Never use ultrasonic cleaning equipment.
